At the University of Iowa, Taylor Elizabeth Claman received degrees in Theatre Arts and Spanish, as well as a certificate in Writing. She graduated in May 2018, with Honors in both majors, as well as University Honors. She was a member of both the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the University of Iowa Honors Program. Claman was an active student in the Theatre Arts Department, as well as a founding member of the multicultural, gender-inclusive sorority Gamma Rho Lambda Rho Chapter.

During her high school education, Taylor Elizabeth Claman took college courses as early as 10th grade. She entered the University of Iowa with 33 semester hours of college credit from Northeast Iowa Community College.

Taylor Elizabeth Claman was a member of National Honors Society, graduating from high school with a 3.78. During her time there, she was also an active student. She ran cross country, played golf, sang in choir, and acted in the school plays, musicals, and contests for large group and individual speech.
